Leeds student wins photography title
A former Leeds student is among those who are set to showcase photos taken on camera phones as part of a worldwide citizen journalism competition.
The exhibition will feature the images submitted to the Street Photographer of the Year 2011 competition, which received entries from places as far flung asPakistan,NigeriaandRomania.
Kheoh Yee Wei, an electronics and nanotechnology graduate fromLeeds, was chosen as the winner of the competition.
His photograph of a street scene inLeedswill feature at the exhibition, along with other entries, at the London College of Communication from March 5 to 15.
Twenty three year old Wei, originally fromMalaysia, won the Photographer of the Year title and gained a LS-20M camcorder as a result.
