New head of student services at Leeds Met
The experience of Leeds students is set to be improved by a new head of services.
Alison Egan, who has enjoyed a 30-year career in health management, student services, teaching and learner support, has joined Leeds Metropolitan University as director of services for students.
Ms Egan joins from theUniversityofEast London, where she has been director of student experience since 2010. Before this she worked as associate director of student services at the university.
Ms Egan, who is both a qualified teacher and a qualified nurse, was previously head of the Learning Support Unit atLondonSouthBankUniversityand course director for access to health studies at City andIslingtonCollege.
Professor Sally Glen, deputy vice chancellor for student experience at Leeds Metropolitan, said: "Alison brings with her a wealth of experience and we are pleased to welcome her to Leeds Metropolitan. We are committed to providing a high quality student experience and Alison's skills and experience will be vital in ensuring that we continue to make progress in this important area."
