Consumer watchdog Which? is to team up with the NUS to overhaul its new website, in a bid to provide potential students with the best impartial advice to make informed educational decisions.

Students will be able to tap into a wealth of knowledge on a range of topics, including university applications and financial planning, when the new website launches later this year.

The trustworthy service will offer advice from graduates and a personalised search to focus on the right options for individuals, while the NUS has agreed to provide specialist content generated by students' unions from around the country.

Peter Vicary-Smith, chief executive of Which?, said: "With university fees at an all-time high, it's vital that students make informed decisions about their choice of university.

"Our partnership with the NUS will help ensure our new website offers high-quality, comprehensive, relevant information and advice that empowers students to make the best decision for them."

NUS president Liam Burns hopes the new venture will create a level playing field for all students from all backgrounds by providing objective resources that applicants need.
